Jebroer, real name Tim Kimman, grew up in Leiden. When he was young, he kept his feelings inside and wrote them down on paper instead. He used rap as his outlet. That’s when it became his dream and life goal to become a successful rapper – and so he did!
In 2010, Tim debuted with his single ‘Bjte vliegen tog’, which was produced by Boaz van de Beatz. Two years later, he worked together with the rebellious artists Yellow Claw, Ronnie Flex and MocroManiac on the track ‘Nooit meer slapen’.
Not too much later, he dropped his first number 1-hit in the iTunes-hiphopcharts. ‘Banaan’ was a real party banger that was very successful in the Netherlands and Belgium, and got a hardstyle twist thanks to DJ Ruthless. The hardstyle remix was played often at festivals in the dance and hardstyle scene.
POUNDING TO THE HARDER STYLES
In 2017, Jebroer collaborated with Paul Elstak and Dr. Phunk, two well-known Dutch Hardstyle artists, for the hit song ‘Kind van de Duivel’. With his cross-over between hardstyle and rap, Jebroer has found the perfect combo that works magic! His song became a real hit and received support from several artists in the (hard)dance scene.
Jebroer himself also noticed that hardstyle-rap is a golden combination: “I discovered a new world full of amazing parties and people with deep dedication. From DJs to the people behind the scenes and even the diehard gabbers, everyone accepts me. I don’t know why, but apparently, I’m doing something right. I really have the feeling I can grow old in this scene.”
By now, Jebroer has left his mark on the Dutch dance thanks to his special crossover. It’s crystal clear for us: the 2nd of June, Jebroer will go all out!
